The Mentoring Process

It is of paramount importance that we find exactly the right Mentor for each of our Mentees, carefully matching background, style, experience and personality.

Having taken a brief, we give careful thought to finding the right Mentor and then arrange a “chemistry meeting” between the Mentor and Mentee to confirm the match.

We recommend our client Mentees work with a Mentor for at least 12 months. This is often extended to 24 months. Structured two-hour sessions take place every four to six weeks. Mentees will also have access to their Mentor between these sessions.

Confidentiality is essential to both trust and success. We have a clear agreement on confidentiality and will agree this in advance with the Mentor, the Mentee and the Mentee’s company. The process remains completely confidential throughout the programme, i.e. no formal feedback from the Mentor should be expected by the Mentee’s organisation. This is absolutely essential in order to be fully effective. Our Mentors have a professional and personal commitment to respect sensitive and confidential information.

We have a highly effective and structured process but retain the flexibility for Mentors and Mentees to adapt this to individual challenges.

Our Mentors have all delivered effective and high performance mentoring programmes and people development plans for leading UK and Continental European corporate clients and public sector organisations. Their Mentees are now in leadership roles in successful organisations.
