David BennettDavid is an experienced Finance Director, CEO and Director in FTSE companies who has developed a Non-Executive career as a Chairman. David is Chairman of Audit & Risk Committees and an NED of both listed and unlisted international companies. David has an in-depth understanding of retail banking, both within plc’s and mutuals, in finance and multiple functions. In his CEO role at Alliance & Leicester David had overall responsibility for assets of £77bn, profits of £400m and c. 8,000 employees. Extensive expertise in strategic development, acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals, financial and change management, investor relations and negotiations with governments and regulators. David’s international experience covers USA, Asia and Australasia. His approach to mentoring is to understand the issues and the context and then work closely with the client to implement pragmatic solutions to meet the agreed strategic goals.
